Aire has partnered with other international businesses and respected climate groups to be part of the Together for our Planet ‘Business Leaders Campaign’, which pledges to cut carbon emissions in half by 2030 and to reach ‘net zero’ by 2050, with the ultimate goal being that we put no more carbon into the atmosphere than we take out of it.
We’re proud to say that we’re already ahead of the game and well on track to achieve net zero much sooner than 2030, through sustainable practices such as our cycle to work scheme, paperless policy, remote press-passing, electric company cars and carbon-friendly LED lighting, installed throughout our offices. On top of that, we’ve used 100% renewable electricity since the day we were founded.
At Aire, we’re constantly striving to improve our practices, and we’re now working with The UK Business Climate Hub to further reduce our carbon footprint, in our mission to help protect the planet.
“For a technology company such as Aire, there shouldn’t really be any excuse to become ‘at least’ carbon neutral. And it shouldn’t need to be an 8 or 9 year project. Compared to many industries, we have it incredibly easy. Using 100% renewable energy to power our business was a no-brainer from day one,” added Jonathan Milner, CEO at Aire Global.
“Since then we have added neutralising layers with some quick and simple, easy wins. Our journey now takes us into our entire supply chain, including the hosting of our cloud-based data. Thankfully the teams at Aire are all sponsors of making our local community and our world a better place. Together we achieve more…and we won’t be stopping at carbon neutral, as a business either, we won’t stop until we’re continually ‘climate positive’.”
